RELIGION AND ETHICS
NSW public schools offer special religious education and special education in ethics, delivered by approved providers wherever available.
At Rose Bay PS, Special Religious Education (SRE) and Special Education in Ethics (SEE) is delivered on Monday at the following times.
- Kindergarten: 10:35 - 11:05
- Year 1 & 2: 11:30-12pm
- Year 3 & 4: 12pm-12:30pm
- Year 5 & 6: 12:30-1pm
Parents/carers select from the SRE/SEE options as part of the online enrolment system. After the initial enrolment, changes to a child's enrolment in SRE/SEE should be emailed to rosebay-p.school@det.nsw.edu.au

Jewish SRE is provided by the NSW Board of Jewish Education.

Special Education in Ethics (SEE) is provided by Primary Ethics. Curriculum: https://primaryethics.com.au/about-ethics-classes/our-curriculum/
Students not attending SRE/SEE classes will participate in supervised meaningful activities including reading or private study.
During enrolment, you can choose a special religious education option for your child from the school’s available approved providers. You can withdraw your child from special religious education by selecting alternative meaningful activities, or special education in ethics if it’s available.
You can update your preference by writing to the school or through the online form available at participating schools.
