Our school is a place where students flourish as quality learning is valued for every learner, every day. Teachers build students’ foundational skills using explicit teaching. Inquiry learning is used to spark curiosity, develop students’ critical thinking and questioning skills and challenge students to reach their potential. Students are encouraged to embrace all opportunities to be courageous problem solvers and strive for excellence in learning.
Students are nurtured from the beginning and student wellbeing is at the centre of all that we do. Using a friendly, learner-centred, inclusive approach our teachers know their students and support them to collaborate as they thrive together as confident, creative learners.
We foster positive relationships of trust, caring and mutual respect among students and teachers. Using an evidenced-based program, ‘You can do it’ we develop the whole child. Students learn about the five keys to success: confidence, persistence, organisation, getting along and resilience, as they strengthen their social and emotional skills and values.
Future focused learning is authentically embedded from Kindergarten to Year 6. We prepare students with the knowledge, skills and attributes they require for successful learning beyond their time at Rose Bay Public School. We embody our motto ‘Ever forward’ by helping students grow as learners; we nurture their love of learning, help them to discover how they learn best and build their capacity for future readiness to engage in an ever-changing world.
