Principal's Welcome

Welcome to Rose Bay Public School, where every student is empowered to thrive in a dynamic and supportive learning environment.

At our school, we believe quality learning is for every learner, every day. Our skilled teachers use explicit instruction to build strong foundational skills, while inquiry-based learning inspires curiosity, sharpens critical thinking, and encourages students to push their limits and reach their full potential. Here, students are challenged to be brave problem solvers and to strive for excellence in all they do.

Student wellbeing is at the heart of our school ethos. From the very beginning, we nurture each child through a welcoming, learner-centred, and inclusive approach. Our teachers know each student individually and foster collaboration, helping them grow into confident, creative learners who flourish together.

We proudly cultivate a community grounded in trust, care, and mutual respect. Through our evidence-based ‘You Can Do It!’ program, students develop the whole child by embracing five essential keys to success: confidence, persistence, organisation, getting along, and resilience. These foundations support students’ social and emotional growth alongside their academic achievements.

Our commitment to future-focused learning runs from Kindergarten through to Year 6. We prepare our students with the knowledge, skills, and attributes they need to succeed well beyond their time at Rose Bay. Aligned with our motto, “Ever forward,” we nurture a lifelong love of learning, helping students discover how they learn best and equipping them to confidently engage with an ever-evolving world.

We greatly value the strong partnerships we build with parents, carers, and the wider community. Together, we are dedicated to providing every student with the opportunities and support to develop to their fullest potential.

We look forward to welcoming you to our vibrant school community.

Malena Waibel, Principal of Rose Bay Public School
